Agridulces Aventuras de Ari y Rumi (2025)
A 2D animation series project created by Carla Montalvo and produced by Manuel Larios and Eva Olivares. This project was selected for and participated in RIA 2023, an animation residency organized by APA in Córdoba. And winner of the DAFO state funding competition 2024 (Perú). Selected participant of the Women Creators Program at Animation! Ventana Sur 2025.
Set in a fictional city in the Andes, inspired by the pre-Columbian cultures of Peru. Technologically and culturally, the status quo is very similar to the present (2024), except that the buildings are alive. It is important to highlight that the architecture, vehicles, signage, fashion, music, food, and colors reinforce the pre-Columbian visual characteristics found in Peruvian ceramics, textiles, temples, or royal jewelry.
